How much is chip and pin used in Florida?

Bit of a planning fail here!

Have topped up my FairFX card from when we last went in 2017. However I’ve just realised that I don’t know the PIN number. Last time I seem to remember mostly signing for purchases, is this still the case?
I’ve found a note on my phone from around the right date with a 4 digit number, hopefully this is it, but what if it isn’t? Is there a way to get the pin via the app? I had a quick look but couldn’t see anything. We fly this morning so not much time left...

Most places were still using signatures but if chip and pin is available at a location you have to use it. Can you test the number you have at a cash point in the airport?

I found last August they were using chip and pin a lot more than they ever had before. Cant you phone FairFX ,might let you reset on phone. They let me on my TUI travel card last year, I called them from Florida as having issues.

Take it to your nearest ATM and check it there. There must be a way to reset it, you’d think. Do they have a number to call them on? I’ve just realised that I have no idea what mine is either! I do have a good 349 ish days to sort it out though.😂

I'd call Fairfx. We found ourselves using it a lot more this year's visit- they wanted it in CVS and other stores.

c&P is used almost everywhere now in Fl. We were there in May and I’d say 9 out of 10 placed used it..

In March this year we found the chip n pin now widely used. Contact your card to re-issue pin.

Chip & PIN is used practically everywhere in Orlando now in our experience. The only places you don't use it are in restaurants where they return the bill to you "open" so you can add on the tip.

We shopped at Publix, Walmart + many stores at the various outlets, plus Mall of Millenia and it was 100% chip & PIN.

Thanks all. I phoned up and got a pin reminder. Luckily it was the number I’d made a note of two years ago, good thing I was organised back then!😀

I've also found them asking for it when you put down a card when checking into a hotel now! I know you probably won't be using the fairfx for this but it caught me out as I never use my credit card in shops and didn't know the pin.
