Hi all,
So... we plan on going for only 10 nights next October as i dont want to take kids out of school, son will be heading to high school... we are a family of 5 (kids will be 11, 9 and 3) do you think 10 days will be long enough? planning on doing both universal parks , discovery cove, aquatica and 1 day at MK... would you recoommend this with a 3yo or is 14...and longer better... guess im just looking for a wee bit advise from people who've done it before thanks xx

You'd get it done but you will be busy every day. I wouldn't go for below 14 nights personally

If you're only doing those 5 parks, 10 days should be more than enough. Even with 3 days in US/IOA you are leaving yourself a few rest days.

I've only every been for 12 nights, 8 nights and 9 nights. Always managed to do what I want, did only Disney on the 8 night trip though.

For us it's perfect, we often go for 10 days , long enough to leave the dog too. We don't do much park days now so it works for us and never feel it's not long enough.

I've been for 7, 10, 11 and 14 nights and always manage to squeeze what we want in. If you've been recently and don't plan on doing most of Disney you should be fine. Personally I don't ever want to go for less than two weeks again!

We've never been for less than 18 nights but judging by your plan I think 10 days will be absolutely fine.
I'd rather go for 10 nights than not go at all I've just been looking at terms dates for next year wondering how we can squeeze in another trip (avoiding August).

I think 10 days is long enough if you're not doing Disney (much anyway).
We will be there for 11 nights next October and will be just doing 5 nights at Disney and then 6 nights on Idrive to do Universal for a couple of days.

Excited about Disney

We are also thinking of trying to do a 10 day trip in 2017 over one of the half terms. We mainly want to do Universal/Busch and Seaworld and think we could fit in what we want to do but I know I will wish it was for longer once we are there! Might do a Disney day covering AK and HS!
