Universal annual seasonal pass
Am I right in thinking that with the seasonal pass the only restrictions are the black out dates ?
The only other difference I can see is that they have removed the word “unlimited entry” from the description. We are going June 18 and May 19 so we don’t need the back out dates. |

As well as the block-out dates (all of July, Dec 22nd to 31st), it says the following:
"Seasonal Passholders are blocked out of Universal Studios Florida on all concert dates and will only receive access to Universal's Islands of Adventure". I have no idea when the "concert dates" are. Also, the seasonal passes do not include free parking, do not include early park admission, do not give you any food/merchandise discounts, and do not provide admission to special events (eg. Mardi Gras). Otherwise, I don't think there are any other restrictions.

This caught me out last year in December. They have a free concert every Sat and Sunday in Dec and with just a weeks notice they decided to bring in this rule, So I could not access studios. It also means the ticket will not be valid on Mardi Gras concert days either.
I had a moan to guest services as the change was very short notice and was not there at the time I bought the tickets and they upgraded my pass to a AP that gave me access, think I have a power pass now, I think the difference was $60, but they waved it for me.

As gavvy mentioned you can always upgrade the seasonal passes to the next level and only pay the difference. The power pass is $60 more and gives half price parking. Pay an additional $40 and you also get free parking which if you are going several times over the 2 years might be an advantage. This pass also gives early entrance into IOA or Studios on several days (normally during week) but then you both have to have it whereas for free parking you only need to upgrade 1 of the seasonal passes which will repay itself with parking in 5 visits.

Great info thanks. We are a family of 4 who will go about 10-15 days over the 5 weeks, so might be a good idea to look at the parking options.
Thanks |
