We saw this when we went in September. Really glad we pre-ordered and we were able to go in about half an hour before our reservation time (we asked because it was so hot), but there were so many people queuing to order their food by the time we came out, would always advise pre-ordering. Susan

So how does it work if you've pre-booked?
Last time I went was 3 years ago and back then you had a fastpass (not an ADR). This got you to pretty much the front of the queue for ordering and then you went and found your own table with your rose. The food then came about 5 minutes later. Are you now seated by a cast member? |

You check in at the podium at the start of the bridge. Then instead of joining the queue on the right of the bridge to get to the ordering kiosks, you go over the bridge and in the main door. There's a CM outside checking that people are going the right way, so just tell them you've pre-ordered. Once inside, there may be a small queue of people who've pre-ordered (think the biggest we've ever encountered is about 3-4 people before us). You then go to the CM at the till who confirms your order, makes any changes that you'd like and then takes payment.
You then go through to the dining area and find your own table wherever you like and get your cutlery, napkins and any self service (non bottled) drinks that you've ordered. You'll be given a rose to place on your table so that the servers can locate you with your order. If you've got magic bands, then you might not get the rose as they'll use the magic bands. We always stay onsite with magic bands and eat there a few times each trip and have had both If you do get a rose, don't do what our children did and play with it by sliding it between them on the table as that completely confuses the tracking system

We have a booking for 4 of us but there may only be 2 of us eating, will I get charged a cancellation fee for the other 2 if they aren't eating?
