Is ET ride closing?
My dad mentioned last night about the E.T ride closing down, is this true? and if so, does anybody know when?

Theres been rumours for years about this closing but I don't think anything official has come out.

We covered this on the podcast recently. Nothing official, but the word on the street is it will be replaced by something from Nintendo.

I love ET and growing up this was one of my favourite rides but I do think it is time for it to go now. And I say that with a heavy heart.
The ride is jerky and the animatronics are very dated now. And ET barely says your name a) right or b) on time. There will always be nods to its legacy, as there is to Back to the Future. However, totally hypocritical of me given my ET argument but I ABSOLUTELY ACHE FOR BACK TO THE FUTURE. Bring it back to replace The Simpsons any day. That was a fantastic ride. |
