Do your own actions catch you out regularly?

I'm sure senility is setting in.

Every day when loading the washing machine, I throw the capsule in first, then when I'm loading I look in and think "what on earth is that in there", every. single. time.

Please assure me that this type of thing happens to others!

Now I’m sort of the opposite. I always fill the machine , then think did I put a capsule in- can’t remember - so have to empty it again to check. Of course I always have😳

I do this too.

Also, every evening I unlock the front door when I know my husband is on his way home, and every evening without fail I go back to the front door to check to see if I did unlock it. I don’t even know why I do it, he’s got keys!

I unplug my iron and I know I've unplugged it but find myself thinking to myself "now did I unplug the iron". I then have to go back and check.

Lock the door, walk towards gate and have to turn back to check door handle... Every bloody day, now my OH sits in the car mouthing you've locked it... But that's only cos he had to go to expense of buying new handles he said I'd knackered the last ones 😳... I've stopped using washing pods now cos Ive had to recheck far to often, it's easier to check if I've put liquid in drawer these days lol

I use liquid so I can’t tell easily if I’ve put it in or not. Quite often my clothes are twice as clean 😁
