So proud of dd but gonna miss her like mad

We live in Leicester but dd has been living in Buxton for the past 2 years as that’s where her derby uni campus is.
She’s been studying events management for a foundation degree and graduates this year and has managed to get herself a job in Harrogate for a year in a hotel/spa called rudding Park.
I’ve looked at pictures and it look so amazing (and also way out of my price range for visiting 😂😭 ).
After the year she’s returning to uni to top up her degree but changing it to hotel (possibly hospitality) management.

She said she’ll probably have to work all over Christmas though and we’ve only ever had 1 Christmas apart when her dad took her to London to be with his family 😭😭😭

She turned 20 in April and I’ve got to accept my baby girl is all grown up now. She doesn’t even want to come on the family holiday to Orlando/New York next year.

I’m not ready for this 😭😭😭

We know how sad it is when your kids fly the nest but we wish her luck with her year at the spa/hotel.

Lucky enough to live quite close and use it for special occasions .

Do you realise there is a holiday park next to the hotel? They have seasonal holiday homes and lodges on there if you don’t own a touring caravan. Heck of a lot cheaper than the hotel I expect.
