Passport inquiry

My sons Irish passport is up in January. He’s going on a school trip to Paris in November will this be ok? I would renew now but the school is looking a copy of the passport for tomorrow along with the final payment. Not sure if he needs 6 months for Europe? Anyone know? Thanks.

As he has an Irish passport he will be fine regardless of what ever happens to the UK regarding Brexit and any changes UK passport holders may or may not need on their passport.

Thank you. I was going to renew over the summer but had no idea the school needed it so early!
