Pixar Play Zone ending- New option at Yacht and beach club
Hi all, i have been trying to book Pixar play zone for our Aug trip and was told tonight by Disney signature service that it is not running during the time we are staying.
They suggested a new event; “We will have a new and exciting experience for your children to enjoy while they are with us called Captain Hook's Pirate Crew. Each night from 5-8:30 p.m., kids ages 4–12 are welcome aboard, participating in an escape room-style activity and treasure hunt throughout the resort. The pirate recruits will embark on a short boat ride across Crescent Lake in search for the treasure, and later return to Seaside Retreat to feast together after their excursion. Captain Hook comes to check on his recruits, teaching them the secret pirate hand shake, and making sure they found where “X” marks the spot.” When i called to clarify she said that there were no dates for Pizar past end of March and this new experience started mid April, “make of that what you will! ” The new experience is $55 plus tax. We have booked for Aug but would be interested in any feedback prior to this. Thanks |

Any feedback on this from anyone?
My DS 6 really wants to try it but I'm a little worried about letting him (I'm a self confessed over anxious mum)

This is a review from an America disney forum;
Our 6 year old did Captain Hook’s Pirate Crew at the Beach Club last night and LOVED it. From 4:30-8:30, he hunted for treasure, met Captain Hook, had dinner, and went on a boat cruise. He’d previously enjoyed Lilo’s Playhouse and the Sandcastle Club, before they closed, and he rated the Pirate Crew as even more fun. The CM at check in said they’d been running for a few weeks. Their capacity is 30 children but last night there were 7. We’d recommend it for anyone like looking for an evening “kids only” activity disboards.com/threads/dhs-toy-story-land-early-morning-magic-emm-faq-discussion.3701980/page-181 We are doing in late Aug so will feedback at that point😊 Edited at 07:06 PM. |

Thanks for that.
It sounds like brillant fun for the children. We happened to see the video on the WDW website. We go mid august. I'm just a little nervous about the boat ride although I know its Disney health and safety will be very high.

My children are going there mid August and they are really excited about it. There is a sort YouTube video which is worth watching. DH and I are off to the Yachtsman then getting a couple of drinks from World Showcase. Should be a fun night for everyone!
