I’m the same as you! Obsessed, my DH is the same as me as well. We had planned another trip for August (last trip was April this year). We realised we would have been overstretching ourselves and had to cancel
we are now looking at planning our next, more realistic trip. My DH want to do the Dopey challenge run in January, so we are aiming for that, if our budget doesn’t stretch to that much of an earlier return then It will be March/April for us.
My DH is self employed so can work as little or as much as he wants which makes booking easier because he just calculates what he has to earn extra per week.
The battle of return is awful ha ha 😂

Wouldn’t go back on my own with two kids no as it would be hard to go on rides with both of them. As he is going away for work anyway he’s already doing two extra shifts so he would need to do 4 more days to go on a holiday and this would have to be before end of December so he would have a good few weeks. I think if it was the right deal it would be worth it but can’t seem to get a deal low enough to make me think its worth it. It’s £3k for 10 days at moment and that’s what would be stretching budget

I think it is blues. I always feel like this and have often rebooked. After a few weeks though it passes and I can think more clearly and sensibly about my priorities. I love Orlando it’s in every part of my being but right now buying a new house is our priority and that is coming first for a year or two. Take me back a few weeks when we’d just got back from Orlando and I was ready to sack off buying a house for another trip! I’m not yearning for it any more like I was in the Florida blues fog!

I feel the same. We went 3 yrs ago with our sons and didn't do Disney , went end of April this year just DH and myself and no Disney. Going Aug 2020 with whole family and no Disney again ! .. I keep looking at CSR Destino Tower for next May with QSDP. Really tempted. I keep pricing it up. Never stayed on site or had dining plan. I soooo want to book it .

If you also have cruises etc booked think you need to be realistic and listen to your head over your heart, we all get withdrawals when we come back, I comfort myself by reading other dibbers trip reports and enjoy the feeling of having to wait a bit, more time to plan and be excited!

I think u just need to throw yourself into planning. What are u gonna experience by going back before ur supposed to? Ur not missing out on anything. If the budget is already tight use the little extra u do have for additional extras upgrades activities etc for when u do go. Keep it special dont over do it!

I think if you have 3 trips in a year you won’t enjoy the third trip as much. We go every other year and the few times we have gone two years in a row it’s felt a bit flat. I can’t imagine going three times. If I could afford a third holiday I’d head somewhere else.

Why not plan some weekend breaks which won’t affect DHs leave allowance.

You could always pop over to DLP for a long weekend to get your Disney ‘fix’ ?
