There are so many great rides in all the parks which are not rollercoasters. If it makes you feel sick, maybe just don't force yourself to do them?!

I have to agree with this. If I go on a ride that makes me feel sick it can last for hours it's not worth it.

I didn’t want to miss out because of travel sickness so took an Avomine travel sickness tablet every day I was in the parks. Did the trick and I rode everything. I did give myself a break between rides. The only rides I still really struggle with are The Forbidden Journey and The Simpson’s ride at Universal.

I have suffered with labrynthitis a lot so have stemetil but they’re on prescription. I get motion sickness on flights too but ok in car journeys or train/bus etc.

For those of you that take medication for the sicknesses do they make you drowsy? I have tried the bands on my wrist but they had no effect at all.

I've started feeling ill on rides over the last couple of trips, it's old age I'm sure.
I've always been ill on boats, so when we went to California a couple of years ago we really wanted to go whale watching. The boat hired out anti-sickness bands (sends an pulse into your wrist which apparently tells your brain you don't feel sick)
Well, it worked perfectly, 4 hours on a small boat in 8ft seas and I was 100% fine.

Tried to find a similar band when we got home and found one on Amazon. amazon/gp/product/...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
So I tried it on a speedboat trip in Jersey last year, and I plan on wearing it in Florida next month. I'll report back on how it works for rides.

Also, dramamine is what we were advised to take, so we got Wal-dram, Walgreen's own version

The band looks great! Reviews are very positive too! I may purchase one to try as I’d prefer to use this than take medication - 🙏 thanks!

Going to answer this with a story:
1st day on our Florida holiday I'd been raving about rip ride rock it for weeks and we went straight to it. After 20mins of anticipation we're on the ride, AMAZING, I loved it.
Then we get off and my other half is nearly sick in a bush beside the lockers! We spent the next hour trying to settle her stomach. We both thought that was the holiday ruined!
We hit Walgreens the next morning before hitting Hollywood Studios and dramamine did the trick. She managed all the rollercoasters for the rest of the trip, Tower of Terror still caused problems but otherwise she was fine.
According to the Asda pharmacist the ingredient in it isn't available in the UK, luckily we'd brought back the 2 remaining tablets so she was also fine on our Port Aventura holiday.
Really recommend Dramamine

The only problem is the price, it does go up and down regularly, I got mine when it was £70. So it's quite an expensive gamble.
Really hoping it works on the rides, I would hate to have to sit them out.

I see there’s a 20% off voucher on amazon right now. I hope it works for you too and let us know!
