Ideas please

Looking for inspiration for a 40th wedding anniversary trip next July. Two fairly fit pensioners who have travelled a lot so not USA, Cananda, Thailand, Australia or New Zealand. July is a poor time for a lot of places due to weather and we are struggling for something special. Any suggestions welcome, thanks.

Some relatives came over from Oz last summer and spent 20 days in Germany/Belgium on a river cruise. Sounded amazing. If stopped each day in s new town.

I like the Cambodia, Myanmar options but DH is not that keen. Trying to please both of us is hard. I’m not fussed about European destinations as have been to some and have relatives in some. I think we’re being a bit picky really. Was aiming at Hawaii but prices are silly. We honeymooned in Sri Lanka 40 years ago but not sure whether it’s a good idea.

We loved Argentina - though I am not sure what the weather would be like as it is their winter in July. I did a trip report (in the Photo atrip Report section - I have done an iñdex yet though )

It really was amazing!
