I agree that not everything being blamed on Brexit is necessarily Brexit related. There are also cases where Brexit may be a factor, but not the major factor.

However from the reaction threads like these get from some Leave supporters you'd think Brexit was having no effect at all.

They've not actually made an official statement yet, so who knows!

The word is that it's not going to be attributed to Brexit, but the slowdown in demand for cars globally. One factor will be the fact that they will be able to produce the cars in Japan and ship them over to the EU tariff-free now they have their trade deal in place. As this coincides with Brexit it's hard to say which is the driving factor - ultimately those two reasons in tandem make a compelling case to withdraw from the UK though.

Very sad and unsettling for all those who rely on Honda and its employees for their income regardless of your political views.

My brother works for Honda Finance. They heard it on the news like the rest of us and are having a meeting tomorrow. He was under the impression it was the same for those in the plant, which is what a guy interviewed on the news just said. So, still shameful if some were briefed and others weren’t. No one should hear that sort of news through the grapevine.

Incidentally, I’m being made redundant this year too, from an independent clothes shop which also wholesaled. It’s a direct result of Brexit...

Sounds like some were briefed then and some not. It is really bad to hear it on the news first, and sadly something my own company has been guilty of many times.
I'm also in the process of being made redundant, although cannot blame this one on Brexit- its due to government regulation changes.

DH found out he was being made redundant from BAE from the local news in the evening, he wasn't told anything at work that day, horrible experience for us all.

Really sorry to hear you’re going through redundancy too, such a crappy time for a lot of people.
