The sample menu that’s currently on the virgin site has been the same for a few years and doesn’t actually reflect what you will actually get. I believe this was the menu from 2016 and isn’t what is currently being served.

The sample menu on virgin site actually changed a couple of weeks ago. The sample menu until recently included pesto pasta, I decided on that in December when I booked lol then a month before we go they changed the menu, if you look on Facebook groups people have taken pics of menu inflight recently and it matches the new
sample menu. Oh well, I'll live 😂

Considering your up in the sit at around 40,000 feet, I really don’t mind the in flight meals, they’re all quite tasty.

My husband has just phoned up Virgin and changed my vegetarian meal to a fruit platter. The bloke tried desperately to order an alternative for me and said the vegetarian meal is "Asian vegetarian and is 1st class" but my OH said, believe me, she's very fussy 😂 It can't be the creamy mushroom pasta mentioned though, that doesn't sound very Asian! I have to say, just this once my husband is right so I'm not going to take any chances and am going to stick with the fruit platter.

This was the Economy menu for our flight on Tuesday this week. We all had the chilli which was ok for flight food!

I had the chilli yesterday and it was nice, glad I chose it.

Despite requesting child meals, they messed up for both meals yesterday, our son got the children’s meal, and when asked where our daughters meals were, they had all been given out and they’ll “see what they can do”, so my girls had random bits, the same happened for the afternoon tea but for my son! A little disappointing. Don’t count on getting your requested meal.
