My DS is now 23 and has been coming to WDW with me since he was 4 and every year since he was 7/8.

A few years ago, he said he wanted a break as he was all disneyed out , so we missed that year.
Last year I decided upon a 'break' from WDW due to finances.

We were looking forward to this year until covid intervened.

Now my DS is literally counting the days until next years trip and praying we can both get away to our favourite place!
He is SOOOO enthusiastic about it and I'm delighted as I felt if we'd gone last year,it would've been half hearted on his part and thats a pity after all the planning and money!

SO yes, sometimes things do work out for the best and I am hopeful we can all fly again safely to international routes next year sometime.

Our disney experience may be different but to us, it'll be worth it! (we hope)

Depends on the kids ..

We had 3 weeks on the west coast inc Disneyland when mine were 15 & 19 and neither came by choice ( both had been many times before ).

Both then came to the East coast inc WDW when they were 16 & 20.

Eldest is nearly 22 , she came away on all 3 trips last year with her baby and would have this year had we been able to go .

Younger one came last May at 16 to North Carolina with us , and would have this May had we gone .

So it’s mixed here , if they want to come they do , if not they don’t no big deal either.
way .

But we don’t just do parks , we almost always do road trips and incorporate stuff for everyone , my younger one likes World of Outlaw sprint cars so we try to fit in some
Races for him etc

We have upto now always paid for both ,

I still go with my parents and I’m 33. I also do all the planning so they would struggle to go without me 🤣

DH and I have been without them (on our honeymoon) but generally, Florida for us is a big family holiday and we rarely go as a small group.
