Banking points

Hi all,

I’m hoping you could help me I think I’ve messed up my akl dvc points.
I’ve got an August use year and in 2019 i banked roughly 130 points into 2020, I’d booked a month long stay in January 2021 with the banked points from 2019 & 2020 but with everything going on currently I’ve amended that down to two weeks which shows on my dashboard as 145 points available in August 2020. I had hoped to bank these points into 2021 however it’s not giving me the option to do it, I’m assuming my current reservation must be using my 2020 points instead of using mainly the banked points first and a few unbanked points.
Is it worth phoning dvc to see if they can switch the points around on the reservations? Or should I just accept the points can’t be banked because I amended the booking?

Hi,

Not sure if this is will help, but your August 2020 points won’t be in your account until August, therefore you cannot bank them until August. If you go on to the disney vacation club website and look at My vacation points you will be able to see what points you have left for each use year. May be worth checking this first to see what use year was used before you call member services.

Agree with Fenland girl, I believe you can only bank points from your current use year, so you will need to wait until Aug 2020 to bank those into Aug 2021.
