Mobile Life insurance with critical

Anyone help point to a good policy.
I have been looking but the policies vary so much. Some policies cover very few critical illnesses but some companies cover a lot, like vitality. The problem with vitality is that the policy is complex and you have to earn points to reduce the following years cover.
I am after something to cover the higher majority of things but have a fixed payment for the next 20 odd years.
Royal London looked ok, I think.

Can I advise having a chat with a financial advisor? (Drop me a pm if you life and I can refer you)
Life cover is fairly simple, critical ilness is a minefield - simply due to the difference in illness coverage.

I can confirm that critical care cover is a nightmare!
We had it, DH had a heart attack last year, we were covered luckily due to the type of heart attack he had, if had been a different kind he wouldn’t have been covered!
We had a fixed amount of cover and were with legal and general. It took 12 weeks to be paid out we struggled a bit financially as we had to use our savings. DH works for a small firm that doesn’t pay sick pay, so had to claim SSP, we were down £3k a month! So was a big decrease! 😱
We got ours through a financial adviser and would recommend speaking to one to try to get you the best one for your money.
We are now not covered for critical illness and can’t get any other policy that would cover DH.

Hope you get sorted soon

Jane

we had life insurance and critical illness cover with aviva, it had transferred to them from friends provident. I just wanted to mention that the customer service from them was excellent and when we claimed they were quick at paying us

Hubby and I both have ours through Zurich. They have a good add on that pays out if your child is critically ill.
