SeaVenture v Ray Feeding @ Discovery Cove
Hi All,
I'm heading off to Disney World in September and while we're there we've booked a day to go to Discovery Cove. It'll be my birthday the day we go there and so we're looking at doing one of the extra activities (I'm not fussed about a dolphin swim so we didn't book it). We've settled on either the SeaVenture or the Ray Feeding they do in the morning, has anyone done either of these before and if so what were they like? or if you haven't, what sounds like the better option? Thanks

We did Seaventure November 2018. For me it was better than the dolphins, other half preferred the dolphin swim but you got so much more bang for your buck with the Seaventure and much more laid back than the slightly rushed dolphin swim. They guide you through the helmet process and other half struggled, but they were super patient and amazing at calming her down as she couldn't get used to breathing underwater. In the end she managed it, completing the whole tour. They allow you to touch some creatures, you go by the shark tank, and when they feed the fish they frenzy all around you, it was amazing. You just keep your hands to your side so they don't want to nibble lol. They have hand written sign boards to tell you what's what when you are down there and you can communicate via basic hand signals (like ok signs). Personally I wouldn't do the dolphin swim again but the Seaventure I probably would.

We've done SeaVenture twice, really enjoyed it both times. Its just so different to anything else you can do.
The only time we've fed the rays when when it was included a few years ago, haven't paid for it.
