Thanks

No, not automatically. They are both separate companies within the Virgin Brand.
However, Virgin might pull the pin on both at the same time as Virgin Holidays only caters for Virgin Flights... |

My understanding (unless corrected) is that Virgin Group are a massive, multi billion pound company who are involved in the following.
As can be seen, the group have widely dispersed ownerships and Virgin Holidays is one facet.. as is Virgin Atlantic. Virgin Atlantic is 51% owned by Virgin Group and the other 49% owned by the much larger, Delta Airlines. I cannot see that the failure of Virgin Atlantic or otherwise has any affect on Virgin Holidays (unless somebody corrects me).

If VA goes bust, so will VH as they use VA flights on a vast majority of bookings...they are intertwined

Sorry but I have to disagree with you. Virgin holidays (VH) operates as a separate company to Virgin Atlantic (VS) and so should VS go bust it would not have a direct business effect on VH as they file separate accounts, etc..
It would have an effect on their operations though because as you rightly say the vast majority of flights VH use are VS and so doubtless this is where they get best value as a tour operator. So if VS went bust VH would still operate and run tours but would need to use other airlines to get their customers to the resorts and hotels they booked - identical to most other tour operators. The difference being that VH and VS are a part of the same parent - so it makes sense now to use VS wherever possible |

Agree. Actually VH use 18 other international carriers apart from VA.
United and Delta for travel to the States are just two of them. Included in the list are the likes of Emirates, KLM, Air France, Qatar, Singapore plus several others
