Didn’t really want to lose the fees as there’s 4 of us but now I saw on the bbc news channel that they are applying for a bail out so it may just be easier to cancel and lose the fees.
Yes, they wouldn’t waive cancellation fees this far out from your flight (going by your countdown). No airline is for miles flights.

Have you tried to cancel in the app? I tried it earlier and it didn't work, the app just seemed to crash.

No I haven’t tried it, just noticed that it was an option on the App.

I’m sitting tight at the moment with our two sets of reward flights. (Aug and Oct) but I’m starting to get a bit twitchy with the VA news.

I do worry that if everyone starts to cancel then VA are more lightly to go under, and don’t want to add to that pressure if I can help it.

If they do go that’ll be over 500k points lost, and it’s taken a lot of spending to get them. 😩

Testing times ahead!

Looks like the option to cancel has been removed. Whilst I'm twitchy about losing all the miles if they fold, I suspect I'm covered for the fees through my credit card, the boost payment too.

I'm going to let the flights sit for now, I suspect the govt will buy into Virgin Atlantic to keep it going - as long as Delta, KLM and AF play ball.

Edited at 09:10 AM. Reason: Typo

As previously mentioned KLM and AF have no relevance to this situation as the planned sale never went ahead. The difficulty for VS is that DL own 49%

I’ve just checked mine and it appears to be cancelled. (15th April). I’ve Whatsapped them requesting a refund including reward points upgrade plus miles booster. Will keep you updated.

Points used to upgrade being returned, boost money and flight money being refunded in 100 days. Relieved
