Saw the daftest thing in Aldi today

Ok - not sure this would be classed as positive but it did cheer me up!
In fact I’m still laughing. 😂

So - mother with kids in front of me at the till. The assistant picked up a bunch of bananas, said “you’re only allowed 4 of these” & tore off 2!

It was the gobsmacked look on the customers face that cracked me up.

I know, I know, the assistant was under orders but it was funny.

Think that’s a bit extreme . Pity limited availability wasn’t applied earlier to basic essentials. Who knew what a selfish, uncaring society we have turned into.
The video of the nurse on tv this brought me to tears. I haven’t bought any goods more than my usual shop and now cannot find basics.

Same thing happened to my daughter in laws friend last weekend in Aldi
She had 5 bananas and they took 1 off her.

This is insane , under orders but is this what we have become ?

It seems so ... we went out last night not to panic buy to go the McDonalds and the local stores Premier, One stop and the Eastern European shops have plenty of stock ..our home bargains is lucky and has all kinds of fruit and veg up to yesterday afternoon

I am aware we must be lucky in our area but I hope the small businesses survive through this after the craziness in the big supermarkets

Good for the Aldi staff for having the guts to enforce the rules.
One rule for all is much fairer.

This happened to my friend last Saturday. 5 bananas one each day for her dh for packed lunch, Aldi assistant said sorry only 4 allowed which friend was fine with but she could of gone and got 4 bags of bananas with average of 6 in each bag. The lady in front of me got her yoghurts confiscated this morning as she had about 10, poor woman was mortified having totally forgotten about the restrictions. The thing was though that the yoghurts were left at the side of the till out of the fridge for goodness knows how long as no one seemed to be collecting the excess stock from the tills as they all had stuff piled beside the cashiers.

DD was at Tesco at 7:05 this morning as she was down to her last toilet roll, the store opened at 7 and the shelves were clear, she knew they had them as others had them in their trollies, when she got to the checkout though someone in front of her had two packs of four so they took one off her and DD got it, phew! They were having an hour for the elderly and vulnerable at 9 but I guess there would have been no stock again .
