Isn't it a pity they didn't implement this system three weeks ago.

Yesterday, I saw a pack of nine toilet rolls for sale on Ebay for £5000.00

The day before for £2000.00 and there were four bids on them!

Half a banana is better than no banana.

The guy in front of me today in Asda had 6 x3pk of kitkats. She took 3 off him
His face was a picture. I nearly bought them for him. I thought he was going to spit his dummy out 😂🙈

Old couple in my Aldi today , 8 small cartons of dog food, like 1 meal in each carton small, she took 4 off them, I offered to pay with my shopping, they were grateful, the cashier then said keep quiet and rang it through on a separate bill, after I said surely you can’t make these old people come back another day, it was bedlam! She let them have it as a one off.

Good grief I do think some common sense is needed.

There are some people who are blatantly stocking up and some who are forgetting - we always buy tonic water in 6's. Husband got some this morning and had three confiscated in Asda - 3 only. I don't mind when its food - but when it affects the G&T

Unfortunately till operators are taking their instructions from managers far too literal. I guess they would be in trouble otherwise. Perhaps a manager should do a stint on the tills?

DH got 6 large yoghurt at Morrisons yesterday.

Common sense seems to have gone completely out of window.

In fact I’m still laughing. 😂

So - mother with kids in front of me at the till. The assistant picked up a bunch of bananas, said “you’re only allowed 4 of these” & tore off 2!

It was the gobsmacked look on the customers face that cracked me up.

I know, I know, the assistant was under orders but it was funny.
Can you imagine what they have to do when customers are buying grapes 😊

I wish we could have had the two they put back, we can’t get bananas this week 😢

I know it’s extreme but greedy people taking everything off the shelves have forced the supermarkets to act. A friend of mine works in Tesco and she says she’s had so much abuse over limiting customers despite it being announced over the tannoy system that there is a limit. It’s so sad to see how people are reacting to this virus.

But continuing to trying to be positive on this forum, maybe the mum should have bought prepacked bananas. I’ve recently switched to buying my fresh produce separately but sadly I will have to go back to packaged short term to make sure we can have our bananas 😂
