Today's three little things i am grateful for...

Research has shown that noticing small good things in our lives makes us happier even in difficult times.

I have read many suggestions to take a few minutes to sit down and jot down three little things that have been good that day and spend a few moments reflecting on them. Many find the evening a good time to do this so they go to bed with a positive mind. But any available time is good too.

I hoped that those who already practice this could share their good little happenings to help give newbies ideas.

Firstly i feel confident in saying that we have all been reminded of the sheer numbers of key workers we have sadly taken for granted for way too long. I believe we will all be thanking all these many people and their families on these boards and in our lives.

My three gratitudes for yesterday.

1 - Savouring a hot cup of coffee in my favourite Disney mug depicting my favourite Disney ride, Avatar.
2 - Realising there is no need to iron the majority of our stuff. (i've always ironed everything).
3 - Playing Star Wars monopoly with the family. Haven't played that in so many years.

Who else does the three gratitudes thing or are thinking of starting?

I will add mine on here, great idea! So yesterday:

1. I got a new job so I will no longer be unemployed next week
2. Met up with good friends online to play dungeons and dragons - so grateful to have good friends and company
3. Managed a food shop to get enough to keep us going for the next week

Dh using all the junk, broom handles, bits of 3.ply, screws and nuts and bolts that will come in useful one day to make a bird table!
Looking at the picture that DS had made of us
standing on the struts of the seaplane which we had been on, all laughing, not a care in the world
Having a lovely long garden full of daffodils which we can stroll round for exercise.

I'm grateful to have a home. (Thinking of all the homeless people just now)
I'm grateful for my family. Can't wait to see them all again when this is over.
And I'm grateful for the peace I'm feeling ( I know how horrible it is to be full of anxiety)
