Just need to know there are people to listen *8 week UPDATE *

Not after sympathy it's not me needing it but my daughter. Long and short my DD20 was diagnosed with crohn's end of last year. Shes not responded too well to all medical interventions. Shes been getting steadily worse over the last few weeks. Reluctantly took her terrified to a&e last weekend as both myself and her consultant felt she had a stricture. Dr disagreed and sent us home. Had to drop her at a&e yesterday,cant stay more than 30 mins which I totally understand. Shes now scheduled for surgery hopefully monday. She may well end up with a stoma. Shes the most incredible person I know. Still smiling and telling me not to worry about her. One of the hardest things I've ever done is drop a bag off for her and not see her. I used to work on gastro as a senior nurse but sadly none of my friends still work there. Was hoping there was someone can keep an eye on her for me. Just send some positive thoughts to my incredibly brave daughter Olivia xxx

I’m so sorry to read this. Olivia sounds like an incredibly strong young woman, you must be very proud of her.
I hope after the op she is feeling much better and you can look after her at home.

Good luck to Olivia. She is lucky to have such a caring mum, not to mention being extra lucky to have one with your experience to support her.
