Thanks everyone, I’m going to use the Chrome cast when it arrives and if it can also work on the old tv upstairs, I’ll get another one for there and no need for a new tv at all.

It doesn’t appear to work on Chromecast unfortunately.

Yeah. Seems to have been an issue with my Chromecast. Rebooted it and it is working now.

I really don't understand these stick things. Trying to also get something for my tv, my daughter has suggested a Roku. Can you help me decide which one would be best please. Thanks

Personally prefer the Fire Stick over the Roku as it has a bigger application list but for basic services either will do the job and neither is a wrong choice.

Amazon currently have the fire stick on sale so is the same price as the Roku.

If your DD has a Roku and can support you, in this instance it may be the better way to go.

My fire stick arrived today, quick and easy to set up and am now happily watching Disney+ on the TV. I am a bit wary of technology that I don’t understand but already loving this purchase 🙂
