We are meant to go 3rd July ,
Flights with VA paid in full on CC
Deposit paid Disney direct
RPR paid in full on CC Netflights ( who have yet to respond to my email) .

I have 2 other hotels stays but they can easily be cancelled.

Even if flights, parks etc are back open end of June I’d feel very wary and possibly like a guinea pig so soon after restrictions are lifted, and so would ruin my holiday anyway.

I’m going to attempt to speak to Insurance today.

Hopefully we can recoup monies through CC if nothing else

Charter travel do not take credit card payments for balance?
That is mighty worrying
I am even more anxious now. I do not want to pay them another five thousand and not have the security of CC
We already paid a very large deposit

Perhaps try and insist they take CC due to current situation (if you decide to pay balance - but might be worth checking with your insurance first as i have read some posts/threads saying no insurance cover ). There's no fees so don't know why they wouldn't?

When we went to book last year they wouldn't budge on it so we went elsewhere (actually did it DIY). I told them it was like me coming in and paying cash and would have practically no cover whatsoever except the ATOL

Not recommending any course of action, but Section 75 credit card protection covers the whole purchase, even if only part of the purchase is on the credit card.

experian/consumer/...rotection.html

So paying a deposit by cc would cover the whole purchase.

Can't see how they can refuse your cancellation? US is in lockdown until end of April as announced yesterday. As far as the balance, I would be speaking to your Insurance provider & bank if CC as you are now "fully aware" that you might not be going so as I stated previously this is the equivalent of a "pre-existing" condition & all those "covers" may not stand IYKWIM
