If it’s points and a fine, you will have a dummy license made up and points put on that for if you get caught again in England. 95.9 is the cut off for prosecution.

You should be offered a course, however if you haven’t got a UK license you will not be offered this and it will be a fine and points. And the points will be put on your UK ghost license.

Yes, I knew about recording it on his UK driving record, but we’re never gonna move to the UK so no issues there.

Thinking I need to be the driver in future, as I’m very careful about speed limits!

Not sure about other forces but Lancashire usually allow a 10% over the limit so good upto 77mph. Good luck. Send hubby up on the mountain to do his speeding😁😁😁

My guess is that it was one of the variable speed limit cameras between junctions 4 and 2 on the smart motorway section. Can he recall if a speed limit was showing on the overhead gantry?
