I once did a school trip to Swindon business zone.
Got the glamour of Reading with GCSE Geography next month!
She'll have a blast, I wonder how the team got that set up? My daughter's football team are getting some time with a US college team that are coming over here to play a local university soon, I think it's great that girls are getting these opportunities.

Colomendy or loggerheads we had. Catholic schools retreat.
Never lasted long as someone would have a fight, get injured etc
Teachers used to drink and flirt with each other

My kids did Boston, New York and Washington. We had to do Estas and provide school with copies. There were 75 kids broken down into 10 groups to make it more manageable. People were saying how teachers were getting a free holiday! I can imagine it was very stressful and I find 2 teenagers difficult never mind a massive group

I've only done short, 3 nights weekend trips in this country with primary kids and that was stressful enough (especially the sleepwalker!).

I would think travelling abroad with teens (who get more freedom) would be even more intense.

P.S. 75 in 10 groups. 7 and a 1/2 in each?!

Didn't you do Cefn Onn Park? We did.

By the time the bus got there we hadn't had time to sit down!

Yes, it certainly beats my school trips to Eyam and Wast Water. 😂

I did offer my services to go along and help out lol, but they weren’t needed ha ha.

I believe they will be training at Orlando City SC academy and playing a few matches with local teams over the 9 day trip (yes... I did say 9 days). They do this trip every 2 years and this is about the 7 or 8th time it’s been run. DD is really looking forward to the experience of playing football out there as well as being able to go to Busch gardens and aquatica with all her peers instead of with just us.

It’s taken a lot of saving, but I think it’s a once in a lifetime opportunity for her that she will always remember. Teachers often get a lot of flack, but I have to say I’m really grateful to her teachers for giving up their Easter break to take them all as I know it won’t be easy and stress free.
