Ah - we went in late October a few years ago, and it snowed! It wasn't forecast to be as bad as it turned out to be, apparently it was the most snow they had had in October for 30 years! We were expecting cool and dry, so only took trainers and one sweatshirt each, we nearly froze to death! Parts of Central Park were closed off because the trees, which hadn't lost their leaves yet, got so snowbound that huge branches broke off and some areas had to be barriered off for safety reasons. So - you may need to be prepared for anything, is what I'm saying.

To be fair, when it stopped snowing it was quite warm and sunny, and everywhere looked really pretty. They are also VERY good at keeping roads and walkways clear of snow, so it wasn't like the UK, we weren't slipping around on ice all the time. It was just the one day out of the 5 that we were there that it snowed really hard all day, and was very cold.

Sorry, not trying to be a Debbie Downer, but would hate for you to be caught out like we were!

we went early November and had fab weather , warm sunny and no rain , roll on this year in June and we had awful rain and low cloud and it was 12 deg. , too wet to go out and we were there when a helicopter crashed onto the top of a building due to the bad weather so its a lottery really

TY - we have been in May in the past, going next week and in June next year so I think we can expect anything (bit like UK)

The crash was on the Met Building wasn't it? Close to where we stayed last visit.

We went last October and it was very warm, shorts and t shirts for 6 out of the 7 days then on the last day the temp dropped and it was jeans,
hoodie and raincoat.
