Anyone done this... does it help at all?! Does it guarantee a seat etc? Thanks in advance, Glen

Its an ADR so yes you are guaranteed a seat if you book there as you would any restaurant. I haven't tried it myself however from everything I've read this is the case. If you are thinking of in terms of if Hollywood Studios closes due to capacity from GE then I would assume you would get the same protection as a normal park ADR. That said if you are staying on site you have the same level anyway for close downs so it makes no difference.

When DL first opened their Galaxies Edge and a reservation was required just to get into the new part of the park people tried to make dining reservations as a means to get in, Disney shut that loop hole down and refused them entry.

We’re going before GE opens so that should not influence the booking. I don’t see how they can guarantee a space to sit if it’s also a quick service walk in place too. That’s unlike any other ADR.

You will have to let us know what it’s like as I’ve booked it for our trip later in the year

My understanding is that it is reservations only in the evening and it is normal QS at lunchtime. If you have an ADR, it will be for the evening so you will get a seat.

I also think I read they cordon off a particular section of the restaurant for the reservations which is why they can guarantee a seat.

We went to ABC tonight. Had an ADR booked.
There’s no cordoned off area, it’s a free for all with the seats that are available.

Most people in front of me in the queue to ‘check in’ at the podium didn’t have reservations and were still allowed in, they ordered in the same way and sat where they wanted, so I’m really not sure what the point of having an ADR is.

Tables were dirty when we arrived - we had to clean our own.

Food was fine, but we won’t be going back in the evening. We had another ADR booked for Sunday but have cancelled it. 🙁

Sounds grim, glad I cut it out of our plans
