Expedia help please
Evening all,
I wonder if anybody could give me some words of wisdom please. I booked flights and a hotel to Eurodisney with Expedia last year and we should have been going on 25th May. Obviously, this has now been cancelled. Expedia are processing a refund for the hotel part of my holiday but have said I need to contact the airline direct to get a refund on my flights. Am I right in thinking that as I booked the whole package with them, they are the ones who should be giving me the refund? My flights were booked with EasyJet and when I go on their website it takes you through several links which says if you booked through a travel agent (in this case Experia) you need to contact them for a refund. But Expedia keep telling me it’s not their responsibility and to contact EasyJet. I am so frustrated that I’m just going round in circles and wondered if anybody could advice me if I am right in perusing Expedia. Thanks for reading and thank you in advance for any advice xx |

Thanks thought the same as you. We had flights booked with BA for a euro weekend away. Expedia told us to go to BA - we thought we would be in a loop of referrals from one to the other - but BA did refund us after just one call. So it might be easyJet you need and not Expedia.

I booked through Expedia, flights and hotel to Florida. The flights got cancelled, when I contacted Expedia they said I had to contact United Airlines. I know this is wrong because it's the person who takes your money who you deal with. They said I had to get in touch with United and get them to contact Expedia to say they would refund. I quoted all the EU regs to her, but she said all I could have from Expedia is a credit note. Phoned Expedia back next day, spoke to a lovely man who issued a refund straight away but said it would take about 8 weeks before I recieve it. Keep trying. If no joy you will have to go down credit card route. Good luck.

Thank you both for your replies. I think I would definitely have had more success if my flights had been with BA. I absolutely hate Easyjet and avoid them at all costs but as this was such a short flight I was persuaded to go with them!
I will keep arguing the toss with them. Unfortunately I didn’t book it on a credit card, I used my debit card. Another valuable lesson I’ve learned! |
