Are the ticket companies in the banner above paid advertising or recommended by the DIBB?

Are the ticket companies in the yellow box above paid advertising or recommended by the DIBB?

I bought my tickets through florida escapes based on them being linked on here but not exactly happy with how they are dealing with current issues (to quote the new topic name!) so just wondering if they are recommended then will this change which companies make it into that little box up there?

FYI florida escapes said they won't refund as not getting refunds from parks, which is different from what other sites are saying. The also asked me to send back my tickets to them even through they won't refund which I started a thread about (https://www.thedibb.co.uk/forums/sho... php?t=1168341) and everyone seemed to agree that was not a reasonable request or something I should do!

Normally they pay to advertise but Stu did say earlier they are now generated by Google whilst the advertisers cut back during the current crisis.

Thanks for the information. I wonder if they'd consider supporting those who have had good customer service rather than Google generated?

They are paid advertisers. The yellow box isn't Google Ad generated, but is based on sellers who pay the DIBB directly to advertise - I think?

BTW, I think if several DIBBers had major complaints about a particular seller in the yellow box then Stu/SMAX would no longer include them.

Oh and I notice there are now only 2 companies listed in the yellow box - Orlando Attractions and Klook.

Florida escapes was in there when I posted and has been throughout whenever I've looked.
It's so tricky with ticket companies, I'm not so sure where I stand as parks are closed now when I should be there, my universal hotel and blue man group are refunded, my florida escapes confirmation states 9th May on it but because they see always valid for a calendar year I don't know if I'm within my rights to get a refund.

If I remember correctly this did happen at least once a good few years ago with a particular travel agent who advertised on here but didn’t give good customer service.

Yes, Florida Escapes has been in that yellow ad box for many years.

We're currently in unprecedented times and no one knows how ticket companies (or any business) will react. If they refund lots of people's tickets then they lose out on any money they've earned - money they've already used to pay their employees.

I'm not sure why FE would ask you to send back the tickets if they are not issuing refunds. That seems bizarre. It also seems strange that they wouldn't offer some sort of refund, even if it was just a partial one.

I've never used Florida Escapes and therefore cannot say how good or bad they are. The fact that they were in the yellow box is no indication of how good they are when the unusual happens.
