Park tickets

Hi hopefully we are going jan 21 just wondered what people are doing re disney tickets we have ordered 21 day ultimate tickets but I read somewhere that u might not get into a park even if u have a ticket? Just wondered what people’s opinions are about this why spend thousands on tickets and u might not get in?

First and foremost - we don't know what will happen at the parks in the coming weeks and months. It's all just guess work at the moment. We certainly don't know what restrictions they'll have in place in January next year. So, this is purely speculation.

It does seem like the parks will be restricting the number of guests they let in when they first reopen, in order to manage the crowds whilst maintaining social distancing rules. As they approach this limited capacity they'll start restricting which guests they let in - for example, day guests buying tickets on the day will be stopped from entering first. Once they reach the limited capacity then they will stop everyone from entering. This is similar to what sometimes happens at Christmas. So it's not something new.

So, as has always been the case, even if you have a ticket you may not get into the parks on some days. It really depends on the numbers of people who turn up. Whether WDW will still have a restricted capacity by January and how they manage that restricted capacity is anyone's guess!
