The reason that the airmiles login has been down for over a week maybe this
There was a mass exodus of people converting points to hotel and shopping partners as VA are on the brink of collapse. They have shutdown one of the sql clusters to stop anyone converting miles.

Yes this was from Twitter I will see if I can find and post the full tweet.

It may be just nonsense but it does give some speculation to why the air miles site has been closed for nearly 10 days

Must be hurting virgins most loyal customers. I for one hope it's not true and the site comes back up on the 4th June as was mentioned.

Each day that passes I do loose confidence with virgin and wonder if my miles may be devalued

Like other dibbers I have a lot of miles tied up and am now actuality starting to wonder if it is time to stop using the VA credit card as you do wonder if the miles will be worth anything going forward
Could be 400k miles down the drain for me 🥵🥵

I don’t think this is going to end well at the moment for VA as they are slowly losing all the goodwill they had built up with loyal customers...

I think Virgin as a whole are losing all confidence.
Virgin Atlantic and Virgin Holidays - appalling on refunds and handling this crises
Virgin Flying Club - Down for 9 days now. I have around 450k miles.
Virgin Money Credit Card - seems to be about the worst at handling charge backs and S75 claims.
Virgin Travel Insurance - no idea how they are handling this but I have their policy.

Can this all be coincidence

Mine is officially 'in hibernation mode' in my wallet!

I am now using the BA Amex Card to collect Avios Points. I work on the philosophy of a bird in the hand etc etc.

Headforpoints has also been reassured that it's just an I.T issue and will be resolved asap, of course Virgin can say what they want, its what they actually do is the (non) issue
