Mobile New England & Canada Cruise

Hi

We are booked to cruise with NCL from NY in June. We are due to dock at a few ports in Canada. I've read Canada has banned cruise ships from docking (hope I phrased that right) until July. Royal Caribbean have announced they won't be starting their New England or Alaska cruised to July

We have called NCL . At the moment we have just paid a deposit (about 600 EUR). Full amount due in a few weeks. If we cancel now, NCL are offering future credit. They said we could pay the full amount and if the cruise is cancelled we will get our money back

What will happen? NCL will have to offer a cruise with different ports?

Thanks

As you say, if you cancel they offer a voucher which has no validity if they become insolvent. If you want a cash refund you have to go along with their t&c’s until they cancel the cruise. It is, IMO, highly unlikely the cruise will go ahead and a cruise with a totally different itinerary is a major change that would warrant a refund, but again you need to check the t&c’s/ contract of passage.

Thanks! I think we will cancel and take voucher. Its a large balance, don't fancy handing it over in these times!
