asda food click and collect - what happens if you don't collect?

Least you have something, ours is just not availble.. I have since found our flour, yeast, bread mix is also unavailable..

I added these to the basket over a week ago, website showed stock, so why are they not ring fencing theses items, it transpires they are picking them from the shelf in our local store, so the customers who get in the store at 8am get to shop before my order is picked which was placed 3x weeks ago

I believe you should be able to still obtain a refund for any substitutes which aren't suitable. You can with Asda as they're website states they can't take the substitutes back at the moment.

Just had tesco delivery, got 5%mince for my elderly neighbour. Most things available. No green beans substituted spring greens, neighbour was happy to have that.

I am shopping for two sets of elderly neighbours, this week I was asked for 6 bananas but not too ripe! They just dont get ordering on line but so far we are managing.

They now both owe me about £100 each as I dont want cash or a cheque at the moment as I'm not going to the bank. I guess they are not going anywhere!

You can choose to decline substitutes on the final order page.
If you accept substitutes and they are not acceptable on delivery you can simply go into your account and select refund as not acceptable. Refund takes a few days
We ordered 3 milk but only received 2. Refund marked as missing. No problem.

Random thought. If you bank with Barclays you can pay a check in on their banking app, no need to visit the bank. It’s really easy and clears quicker than normal. Not sure if this is exclusive to Barclays, but worked well for me a few weeks ago
