Xmas 2020
Hi, we’ve just bought into DVC after years of wishing we could!
We had originally planned to go next year for our first dvc holiday but we’ve had to move another holiday to the summer so are now thinking about Xmas this year. Is this realistic? Our home resort is riviera but availability is poor and we couldn’t get the whole stay. What are my chances of getting something else at 7 months and is it easier to book via member services? Not how I imagined our first stay! Thanks x |

No one really knows as it’s thrown the usual availability into unchartered territory. You may have to go with a 1 bed if everywhere else booked at 7 months. You might get OKW/ AKL/ SSR at 7. But I haven’t looked what it is now. You could even consider booking elsewhere now and ‘walking’ it to the Xmas dates by amending the days every few days- not guaranteed on 7 month bookings but increases chances substantially.
As to whether it’s realistic? I remain mildly hopeful but don’t really expect to be going on my Xmas trip I have booked.
