Which San Diego hotel?

We are planning to stop in SD for 5 nights at the end of our Easter trip next year, we are 2 adults and 12yr old daughter.

I am trying to decide where to stay, I have so far added these to our short list

Lowes coranado
Humphreys moon
Catamaran resort
Paradise point resort
Hyatt mission bay

Does anyone have any pros or cons to any of these, or any other recommendations? It is the relaxing end to our trip so it needs to have a pool and a nice relaxing feel to it

Thanks

We stayed at Best Western Island Palms on Shelter Island. We had a great stay there and it was a relaxing area. San Diego is a small city so everywhere is really accessible. We had a few issues with the first room they gave us, but they made good with an upgrade and some breakfast vouchers.

I would be happy to stay there again.

Another vote for Island Palms. Lovely location on the marina with a pool. We had a suite with a separate bedroom and bathroom and a further toilet kitchenette and sofa bed in the lounge/dining area so ideal if there are 3 of you. There was only the 2 of us so lots of space!

Agree with this. BW Island Palms is next door to Humphries. Shelter Island is a lovely location. San Diego is compact enough that you’ll be able to get anywhere reasonably quickly. We loved our visit.

Thanks all I have booked BW island palms on a no prepayment, free cancellation basis. What sort of price would you expect to pay around Easter?

Not sure about Easter, but we paid around £90 per night in March this year. I booked direct, then cancelled and booked through ebookers, then cancelled and finally booked through Expedia - just keep your eyes peeled for deals and discount codes as the time gets closer.

Can I ask what site you booked on, I’ve looked on booking.com but it isn’t saying free cancellation or no prepayment?

Hotels.com. It says book with a deposit but most of their bookings when you actually follow to completion there is nothing to pay and free cancellation up to a couple days before
