Combined Ticket Purchases
We've moved the Christmas trip to August next year and for the first time in years we are going for two weeks now the problem we have is that we will want the 14 day Disney tickets, but will probably visit Seaworld and are thinking of stopping at the HRH for two nights so will need two days for Universal. I'm thinking the best way (Cost effective) is to just buy the Disney tickets and then buy the others on the day we intend to visit.
Anyone had any experience doing it this way or is there an alternative - thanks

I'll answer my own post on this as it may help others out. To keep our Disney Tickets and book 2 Day Universal Tickets (direct) and Two Park Seaworld Tickets (direct) would save circa £200 for a family of 4 adults.
The above numbers are based on the exchange rate of 1.20. Not sure what to do now as we have not been to Seaworld/Aquatica for years so may end up doing an adhoc visit which would cost more than the £200 saving. We are quite confident with the Universal stuff as we will be staying at HRH so with the FP's 2 days is plenty

Looking at the numbers again it works out circa £2k for the two days we would spend at universal there are two hopes of that happening

Do you mind if I join your thread? 😉
When we have been for two weeks before I have had to really carefully work out what we were doing when and buy tickets for what we needed only. Otherwise just ended up having paid for more than we needed by a long shot. Are you staying onsite at Disney ? It's a lot to squeeze all in I think. Personally, of course it's doable and you will have a ball. But boy will you pay through the nose to do it all. |

We never buy “combined tickets”. They’re not really a thing, just a bundle that companies sell.
Getting the tickets that suit you can take a bit of searching and getting the calculator out. Last year we went back and forth about Universal but in the end managed to get the 5 day base ticket for the price of 2 days with a discount from Visit Orlando. It saved us quite a bit on the 14 day UK ticket. On the end we upgraded to an AP intending to use it this year although we won’t be but that’s another story! |

You’ve hit the nail on the head - check my other post on trip planning out. Not going to bother with universal (unless the cheeky Christmas trip comes off)
