You are trying to do a heck of a lot in three weeks.
I have basically done half of that route in 19 days and plan to do the other half in a couple of years time - maybe another 12 days.
Could I have done my 19 nights in less time. Yes .
And I glad I did it the way we did. Yes. We could spend more time enjoying the places and doing at a more leisurely pace.

Obviously "nights" doesn't compare to "days" and in some cases depends on whether you intend to move on to the next place early in the morning, or wait until afternoon for example so planning to get to the next place just in time to kip.

LA probably try and knock a day off there.
Death Valley and Yosemite look awesome to me , so I wouldn't be trying to get from LV to Yosemite in one day then only having 1 full day in Yosemite.
Split up with a stop en route so as to spend time in Death Valley and get time to stop at say tioga pass rather than just rushing by.

My trip - doing half of the same route as you but in the opposite direction- is in my signature. We did LV-GC-PS-SD-LA-LV
My photobook / storybook in the signature is more like a trip report in pictures and should give you some good ideas without having to spend hours going through people's detailed trip reports

Definitely recommend an overnight stop between Vegas and Yosemite, its a long drive. We hadn't planned on stopping in Death Valley, just driving through, but we stopped a number of times to view the scenery including the Furnace Creek visitor centre, Zabriskie Point and Father Crowley Vista Point, it turned into a long day and we could easily have spent longer at other stop offs, it ended up being a real highlight of our trip. We had an overnight in Bishop and arrived much later than we had anticipated. Great bakery in town, Schats to stock up before heading to Yosemite! We had heavy rain for our trip along the Tioga Pass otherwise we would have had a lot more stops along this part of the route too.

For Death Valley have a little Look at the link above - shows highlights and maps etc, looks like a fair few other great stops on top of this already mentioned

And for the general journey from Las Vegas to Yosemite , via Death Valley , I found this really helpful link below on trip advisor. Lots of really good info

tripadvisor/Travel...onal.Park.html

For Yosemite, there are a few good links

Hi again overall it’s fine and as you know we have done similar. Might drop 1 n LA, if so would add it to Yosemite. Arrive evening and then have 2 full daYs there before heading to San Fran.

Hi, thanks for replying again, we could probably squeeze in an extra night it Yosemite because I really do want to see all it offers, I know LA is probably worth only 2 nights really but just thinking our first night we may arrive later on in the day so it will only actually be 2 full days? 😀
