Well done BA

Today I received an e mail that my flight to Calgary in September has been cancelled. As it was a Fly Drive trip I rang them and only waited a few minutes to speak to someone. As there were no alternative flights (in the near future) I decided to cancel the whole trip. Deposit of £425 will be returned in 2-3 weeks.

I didnt expect the flight to be cancelled so soon but the whole process is straightforward so a big chuck up for BA. No complaints from me.

That seems very early to be cancelling flights, or was it the route that’s been cancelled?
Glad to hear it was a good experience though!

Possibly the route, as I have a booking for 6th August (LHR - San Diego) that I still can’t change or cancel fee-free yet

Great to hear. We had been booked with Air Canada, route also cancelled, and they have been a nightmare. I had used BA/Aer Lingus the last few times and I'll be back to them again when they release 2021 flights.

Another thumbs up for BA from us. Our Vancouver flights at the end of June were cancelled and we may not all manage as a family next year so a credit no good this time . I was dreading phoning but got through within minutes and refunded the following day unbelievably.

Just noticed BA credited my cc on the same day - had to ring bank to transfer credit back into current account. Good service.

SF

BA continue to be one of the good guys along with Premier Inn, official LGW parking and, of course, DFCH.

I'm still very positive about sitting in a Boeing 777 in November (from LGW or LHR - who knows?) but at least if they cancel at least I'll get some UK Christmas spends back on my CC

Always look on the bright side of life.

Mick

It was a route cancellation along with Charleston (and some others) and a delay to the Portland start up - hence the early cancellation.

We had a one way flight from Glasgow to Gatwick cancelled in April there that was for May. When I called the first time I was told I would get my refund within 10-15 working days. I knew that folks on here were getting their refunds so waited patiently.
I called about a month later as I was taking the Easter weekend into consideration only to be told that I hadn’t had my refund due to the fact that I had requested a voucher. Now, I hadn’t at anytime requested one, but as they had extended the time period for use I said I would take it. Still no voucher arrived. I have to say that the person I spoke to wasn’t the best but I was giving them the benefit due to the current situation.
So I called back again this week and spoke to a great lady. She called me back maybe 20 mins later to say that there was nothing showing against my booking for refund or voucher and that a full refund would be applied. It was in my account a few days later.
I use BA a lot and was not getting angry at the situation just a bit curious as to why my refund hadn’t been processed In the first place. In the end they completely redeemed themselves. Happy customer here.
