The short answer is that no one knows. We’re holding off in the hope of some kind of offer.

Chapek has said NEW ticket sales and resort hotel reservations will be on hold (so they can focus on guests with existing tickets and reservations). A number of resorts will remain closed until demand picks up.

Getting Excited

I was told I can add it on later (I’ve moved my booking from this year to next).
The guy I spoke to on the phone said there were no offers just now and he’s spending his time just moving bookings. |

Well I think todays news answers my question! I did think it was highly unlikely but I didn't see them stripping DDPs from current bookings.

Not necessarily. I think we’ll need to see how things pan out. Things could be a lot different next year.

The first issue is will they still need to start offering dining plans to purchase. Until that happens then free-dining won't happen.
It appears there'll be no dining plans available in 2020, we may not see them go back on sale for 12 months and the 50th anniversary would probably have been blocked out from free dining anyway. I would be surprised of the usual UK free dining offer is available for 2021. They may do some short term deals like the US ones at best.

I decided not to wait. I booked for next year and added in the dining plan. If they come out with an offer, I only booked a single person so worst case scenario, that's all I'll lose.

Me too. Booked a standard room in CBR for Aug 21. Had been hoping to upgrade free QSDP to DDP+ but if there's no free dining I'll just add the regular DDP before we go. Only booked for one person as well so if I've to cancel and rebook to get free dining it's not a major loss

Yep. I figured I'd rather have the room we want than the DDP in a room we don't. Had planned on AKL if the dining offer was on the table, but booked POR assuming we won't have it. I just don't want the stress of being pushed to go to a resort I don't want if everyone decides to rebook + the people who would normally be going too.
