Wow £3,000 a family of 4 park tickets

I did smile when I looked at tickets for Disney and universal for next year and it cost almost £3,000 for a family of 4 (slight reduction if anyone is under 12)

I bought the park tickets when 4 of us went in Sept 2017 and it wasn't that expensive (perhaps £2,400), so I won't be offering to buy 4 park tickets again

Not a moan because going to Florida isn't exactly essential, and going to Disney and universal isn't essential either, but I bet families who haven't been before or for years must get a surprise when they book a basic package (flights/hotel) and don't realise how much other things cost.

Feel free to praise my post or criticise it because nothing will ever stop me loving my dibb cyber family.

It’s expensive alright. I visited Tenerife last year and went to Siam water park. Felt like a bargain at €38 each plus drinks started at €1

Probably the best water park I have been to and I have done all the Florida water parks

It is the tickets that push the price up especially if you want to do everything. We did everything ( well not as you cant) back in 2006 but missed out so much. Though prices weren't too bad then.

I have been back on my own since and did 10 nights in Disney but still missed out loads of things as you just cant do it all. I often spent hours in parks but also took my time in them but barely touched Magic Kingdom or Epcot.

Flights can be reasonable and so can rooms if staying off site so people could potentially go every year if they restricted themselves on tickets.

If you work out the daily cost for a park visit it probably isnt far off that price but you have more choice

I booked the tickets for 5 adults for our trip in November 2017, and we paid £2505 - £501 each. I cannot imagine any of us would pay £750 each, I imagine if we went again we would buy Universal tickets and possibly Disney water park tickets and/or a one day pass (though the one day passes are exorbitant these days as well).

We would never pay that kind of money, dh would have a heart attack. When we first went as a family 2004 we paid about £750 For Disney tickets and dh couldn’t believe the price. We’d have two Disney days and a day at IOA and probably typhoon lagoon. Any of the kids earning would have to chip in, I’d love to just do Florida coast with a massive villa but we always have to do a few park days!
