The Incredibles take a vacation - Feb 2020 Pre trip report (very last minute!)

Cast:
Mr Incredible - Nearing 40, a little puffed up, but gets the job done. Done Disney/Florida as a teen.

Mrs Incredible- Nearing 40 (and really let herself go, definitely no longer elastic). Main planner.

Violet Incredible - age 7. Emotional, but quietly cool. My right hand girl.

Dash Incredible- Age 4, en overexcited puppy. He’s borderline the 40” height restriction and doesn’t seem to have grown since we booked in July.

Originally, we had intended to wait and do Disney when the kids were older as Mr I said it was all about the big rides. After going to Lapland, I introduced him to concept of magic & wonder through a kids eyes and so we decided to go whilst Violet was still young enough to be amazed on that front. Completely naive to booking this type of holiday, one minute we were pricing it up- the next it was booked. Sucked in by the dining plan, we are 10 nights at AKL. No doubt as first timers, it won’t be the perfect itinerary, but if it wasn’t for the Dibb we’d be completely unprepared. The prep is so intense and guidance when you book is completely lacking.

ADR’s (and planned QS) were mostly booked at 180 days, but tweaked a little
Arrival day: QS at Mara
Day 1- magic Kingdom
Crystal Palace breakfast
Pirate pals dessert party
Day 2- plan to have most of the day at AKL
Dinner- Early sitting at Hoop De Doo
Day 3- Hollywood studios
Lunch Sci-fi diner
Day 4- Epcot
Early booking for lunch at Gsrden grill but will probably cancel & May get QS at Katsura and/or poutine from refreshment port.
Epcot forever cruise
Day 5- Clearwater
? Dinner Saana
Day 6 - AKL
Lunch at Harambe
Dinner- tuskers
Day 7- rest day ( maybe a few hours in a park if we fancy)
Dinner at Disney springs -? T- Rex
Day 8- wherever we fancy
Dinner chef mickeys
Day 9- magic kingdom
late breakfast BOG
Dinner CRT
Day 10- House of blues gospel brunch

Also Hoping to go to Blaze and polite pig , not sure where we’ll fit it in though. I’m stuffed thinking about all the food!

Mr I had booked a Mustang for a couple of days to go to Clearwater. He also tried to upgrade to a savannah room, but there’s none available.

The big reveal was on Christmas Day. After all the relatives had gone in the evening and the day was winding down, I handed them each a huge gift bag that was full of Disney clothes. They’ve never had any character clothing, so were excited at all the stuff they got. At the bottom of each bag was a golden ticket to Disneyworld for February. Cue text book excitement, squeals is delight and jumping up and down.

Managed to get the fast passes we planned, but foolishly didn’t get one for Kilimanjaro safaris. Had bagged kali river rapids, but noticed two weeks out that it had disappeared (due to ride refurb)- thanks for the heads up Disney!

Have started packing, but with it being Feb I’m a little unsure on what to bring.

It sounds a great trip, and they are lovely ages for it. For February packing, I would be prepared for anything! I have been 3 times during February and have had it at 30 degrees and 10 degrees!

I’ve often grabbed the safari at opening or picked up a fast pass on the day after using my three booked ones , you won’t miss out.
Make sure you do Little Toot at Clearwater , it’s fab.
