Upvc coating on doors and windows.

Has anyone had this done? Our front door is getting marked, it still looks ok but the wife wants to replace it.
I’ve seen an ad for upvc coating and wondered if anyone has had it done and if it looks ok.

Mmm. I have never known any coating to work and to paint it will cause you years of hard work and defeat the object of no maintenance.

This stuff is good gear, well worth £4 to give it a try before going the drastic step..

Edit. Don't use Jif, it's too abrasive

I painted our 20 year old white UPVC doors. With Wilco cupboard and furniture paint. Did the outside a light green and inside white. This was 3 years ago and they still look like new. People still ask have I got a new door. Just one coat, no primer or undercoat and I used a brush. We are going to paint them again in the spring. Not that they need it. Just that it was so easy, we are going a different colour.

I didn’t actually realise you could paint them! Ours are fairly new so shouldn’t need it, but useful to know, thank you!
