Dog having the snip... any advice?
I know the wonderful dibb is full of experienced dog lovers , and to who better to come to for advice.
My pooch is having his little operation on Monday. Any advice if things I should buy in advance! Any tips to aid recovery? Thanks all. Picture included for cuteness

That is very kind of you, thanks. When he is driving me up the wall I will remember your kind words and take comfort from them 😂

Boy dogs getting "the snip" are much easier recovery wise than girls. Other than needing a "cone of shame", to stop him licking, the wound should heal really quickly with no problems.
The knock out drugs will likely make him snoozy and make him feel sorry for himself for a day... then he'll be back to normal.

Bill felt a little sorry for himself for a little while after. If I remember rightly he had pain killers after. One of the side effects said possibility of increased weeing. He peed in the kitchen it was like a flood but only happened twice immediately after. The hardest thing was stopping him licking his bits and keeping him calm, a little challenging with a Springer. Hope all goes well.x

He is 7 months. We are having him done next week as it’s half term, this will enable us to have time at home with him-lots of cuddles and gentle play.

My pup had his done just before christmas. The same day he slept the rest of the day, the next day he was back to normal. Apart from bashing intoeverything with his done for two weeks he was fine.
