Unromantic presents - just for fun - join in!

So have you ever given your other half a present - which could not be construed as romantic by any stretch of the imagination?

I will start - I've just presented my darling wife with a 2 metre USB extension cable... whilst not being romantic is certain practical as it would stop her having to grovel under the desk when wanting to plug things in.

Come on - join in!

Not me but my husband. We had only been going out for a short time when he said to me I have bought you a present. We were standing in a queue to get into the cinema and he said he would give it to me when we got inside.

I stood there thinking I wonder what he has got for me and also it’s a bit early in the relationship for presents but also a wee bit excited. Anyway once seated he presented his “gift” - a packet of Fisherman’s Friends (I had a bit of a cold). I ate one to be polite and couldn’t believe how horrible it was.

He has never changed either - not a romantic bone in his body.

I received an Arsenal Scarf once... I don't even watch football really and DH isn't even an Arsenal fan. Still makes me laugh what he was thinking!

Years ago my hubby had beautifully wrapped a huge Christmas prezzie for me and placed it under the tree,I excitedly opened it Christmas morning to find out it was a paper shredder 🙈
