Being Priced Out Of Florida
Its well documented on here that flights are at a daft level, and unless the TC slots get taken up I think it will continue, I am thinking Florida might be out of reach next year.
DD has been looking at all inclusive in the Dominican Republic, never been there before, all inclusive 10 nights at what looks like an amazing hotel, with TUI on the dreamliner, coming out at £3,800 for myself and DDs 21 & 18 so adult prices. This could be a better option. |

I understand your sentiment. Whilst, done with Disney, we thought next year for a ruby wedding but the cost of flights are so high. I then looked at DLP even that’s coming out at over 2£k for two just for a few nights

We love Disney but this year we did all inclusive in Jamaica for around 3k with TUI just got back today... would not even compare it to Florida if anything it just made me desperate to go back to Florida even more than before and sort of gutted we spent that much on a holiday that could not even slightly compete to a stay at Disney...
Think about it disney there is something to do all day every day but an all inclusive in the Caribbean... well there is only so much sitting it the sun or in the pool or the sea that we can do before we are bored. And although the prices are increasing, so are the park sizes And hotel experiences, Pandora, toy story land and Star Wars land just to name the last 3 years... For us you just can’t beat a Florida trip at any price! |

We went on a 10 night all inclusive with tui in one of their sensatori hotels in may! It was fab and we had a great time - came to 3k for the two of us! We would do it again , and I’m sure we will- but I’m so excited to go back to Florida next year, far more so than I ever am for a normal holiday!

Its hard to compare florida/ Disney with a beach holiday you need to compare just the beach in Florida and anywhere else.
What do you want to do on holiday, if it's just to relax for 2 weeks go somewhere closer but if you need to do things most days the price will go up. Plus in some Caribbean countries you are advised not to leave the hotel complex unless escorted.

Do you mean Florida or do you mean Disney?
We got direct flights for the busy Easter break for under £2000 (2 adult, 2 teen) and it's always cheaper in term time. Accommodation can be £50/night for all of you. It's the Disney/Orlando thing that bumps the prices up. |
