We’ve booked direct with BA. We had no notification about the changes apart from on the app, where the flight affected had been changed to red. We don’t log into the app regularly so i’m Not sure how long ago they made the change.

We usually book a 'pair' of seats at the back of the plane with BA although the cost is very high compared with most other seats. BA will keep quiet about any refund due to you unless you claim and be prepared to make a nuisance of yourself. They will claim the seats are the same cost which is patently stupid and deny a refund. Threaten them with small claims if you have to!

BA changed my exit aisle seats for a ‘normal’ seat, I had to fill in in a claim for for a refund and then they refused!

I didn’t let it go and persevered, finally over 1 month later, they finally refunded!

We had the same thing, had booked 2 rows of 2s but plane has changed & new one has a different layout, I wouldn't have minded if they had let us know. Fortunately I could move so it was ok but a little frustrating.

Virgin did the same to us last year (not Orlando) but for not particular reason. No plane change, they weren'y sky cot seats or anything. Really annoying

This literally happened to us on the way out here (we fly home tomorrow) so it’s good to hear that you had a good result in the end, we’ll be making contact with them when we return.

The worst of our situation was that we book the exit seats for a reason - my partner is very tall and his legs don’t physically fit into the normal seat pitch.
When we tried to explain this to the air hostess she pretty much just shrugged her shoulders.

I'm not surprised they just shrugged their shoulders, unless your husband is a basketball player in stature he will be able to fit into an economy seat, it might not be with much left over but he would fit. I'm 6' 3" and I can get into an economy seat - getting out is a bit harder after 9 hours though
