Epcot tier changes?

Just seen on my Facebook feed an article about the tiers changing at Epcot.

Frustratingly I can’t get the link to work 😡

I can see people’s comments suggest that the character meets have moved to tier 2.

Anyone have any info on this?

I can say that the Character Spot is def tier 2 now as I booked it the other day! Didn't notice anything else different for now

Oh no not another change to the tiers the HS changes have already messed up my fast pass plans once 😢

That’s good but when I go in to book it still shows as tier 1 for me.

Wonder why mine hasn’t changed.

You just made me doubt myself! Checked MDE and I definitely have the below;

Is it to do with the dates maybe as we do not go until mid August?

That screen shot is for 24th August so I don’t think it’s dates.

Maybe I need to phone to query it.

I am looking to get this because our Granddaughter is with us. On the 21st Aug and the 28th Aug it's showing as Tier 1. Most weird.

After seeing the thread the other day we have also booked the Characters for Mid August along with Test Track one day and Soarin on another day.
